Hi,

I have been writing a set of tutorials online for a real newbie developer attacking each concept one at a time. You can see them at my blog: http://saigeethamn.blogspot.com.
Would you be interested in my contributions to the book? I am also learning the android platform development and as I learn I am putting up those tutorials.
I officially work for Collabera Solutions Pvt. Ltd. at Bangalore

It would be nice if you could cover low memory conditions, how the application gets killed and the states it goes through - onPause/onResume, saving states in those callbacks for the application to work well in low memory conditions.

Same goes for power related issues - general rules about using wake locks. And in general stuff that talks about how to write apps to consume less power and minimize cost to user.
